Television, has been ordered for a second season.<\/p>\n<p>New episodes of the 15-episode first season air on Thursdays at 9 p.m., leading up to the season finale on April 10. Each episode follows an hour of Dr. Robby\u2019s (Wyle) 15-hour shift as the chief attendant in Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital\u2019s emergency room.<\/p>\n<p>R. Scott Gemmill created the series and executive produces alongside John Wells (<em>Animal Kingdom<\/em>, <em>Shameless<\/em>, <em>The West Wing<\/em>, <em>ER<\/em>), Wyle (<em>ER<\/em>, <em>The Librarians<\/em> franchise, <em>Falling Skies<\/em>), Michael Hissrich (<em>Shameless<\/em>, <em>The West Wing<\/em>, <em>Third Watch<\/em>), John Wells Productions\u2019 Erin Jontow (<em>Emperor of Ocean Park<\/em>, <em>Rescue: HI-Surf<\/em>, <em>Maid<\/em>) and Simran Baidwan (<em>Manifest<\/em>, <em>Ordinary Joe<\/em>, <em>The Good Doctor<\/em>, <em>Chicago Med<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Aubrey, head of Max original programming, said: \u201cIt&#8217;s been a thrill to watch audiences embrace <em>The Pitt<\/em> as an update to procedural storytelling with a cast who authentically embody the heroics of doctors and nurses on shift in a 2025 emergency room.
