{"id":22176,"date":"2025-02-12T09:59:57","date_gmt":"2025-02-12T14:59:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/hot-sauce-pictures-taps-itv-alum-as-creative-director\/"},"modified":"2025-02-12T11:18:44","modified_gmt":"2025-02-12T16:18:44","slug":"hot-sauce-pictures-taps-itv-alum-as-creative-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/hot-sauce-pictures-taps-itv-alum-as-creative-director\/","title":{"rendered":"Hot Sauce Pictures Taps ITV Alum as Creative Director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hot Sauce Pictures has appointed Helen Ziegler, currently senior commissioning editor at ITV, as creative director, a role she will take up later in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining ITV, Ziegler served as director of television at Mammoth Screen, where she earned credits on <em>World on Fire<\/em>, <em>The ABC Murders<\/em>,<em> Why Didn\u2019t They Ask Evans?<\/em>, <em>Tom Jones<\/em> and <em>Endeavour<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Hot Sauce was launched in October 2024 when Sony Pictures Television backed investigative journalists-turned-creatives Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson. Lawn and Patterson serve as co-CEOs of the company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo us, Helen has it all,\u201d Lawn and Patterson said. \u201cAmbition, expertise and a sensibility that chimes so closely with our own. We\u2019re equally inspired and humbled that she\u2019s going to be such a big part of the Hot Sauce journey over the coming years. Our creative partnership is now triangle-shaped, and we couldn\u2019t be more excited.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have loved and valued my time at ITV and feel very lucky to have worked with Polly Hill and Kevin Lygo at such an iconic broadcaster,\u201d Ziegler said. \u201cI\u2019m now thrilled to take this next step as creative director. Declan and Adam are a truly creative force, and the chance to build Hot Sauce with them is unmissable. I have long admired their unique approach to storytelling, and the opportunity to bring exciting voices to this venture is a dream come true.
