The series is directed by Jon Jones (<em>Hotel Portofino<\/em>, <em>Whitstable Pearl<\/em>, <em>Alex Rider<\/em>) and produced by Megan Ott (<em>House of the Dragon<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Warren Brown (<em>The Responder<\/em>, <em>Trigger Point<\/em>, <em>Ten Pound Poms<\/em>) stars as DCI Joe Mottram, a star detective with the Metropolitan police. Phyllis Logan (<em>Downton Abbey<\/em>) stars as Elena Da Vinale, the witty, fiercely loyal, loving matriarch of the family, front-of-house manager of the family restaurant and mother to DCI Joe\u2019s late wife. Cristiana Dell\u2019Anna (<em>Cabrini<\/em>, <em>Gomorrah<\/em>) is Inspector Lara Sarrancino, an ambitious and no-nonsense detective with the State Police in Naples. Beau Gadsdon (<em>The Crown<\/em>) is Angelica, Joe\u2019s bright and knife-sharp teenage daughter from South London.<\/p>\n<p>From Eagle Eye Drama and in association with ITV Studios, the show commences filming on location in Croatia and later in Italy.<\/p>\n<p><em>A Taste for Murder<\/em> will premiere on BritBox in the U.S. and Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Eagle Eye&#8217;s chief creative officer, Jo McGrath, said, \u201c<em>A Taste For Murder <\/em>is an escapist detective series weaving intriguing crime cases with compelling family drama, all set against the beautiful Amalfi coastline. Cooking and food will play an important role in the show, reflecting the emotional dilemmas faced by our core characters and helping the family at the heart of the series to heal past wounds.
