The BBC has picked up Marble Hall Murders<\/em>, an adaptation of the third and final installment in Anthony Horowitz’s Susan Ryeland series.<\/p>\n A follow-up to Moonflower Murders<\/em> and Magpie Murders<\/em>, Marble Hall Murders<\/em> will be made by Eleventh Hour Films in association with Salt Films for PBS MASTERPIECE and the BBC. Anthony Horowitz is adapting, with Jill Green as executive producer.<\/p>\n Rebecca Gatward returns to direct, and Suzanne McAuley returns as producer.<\/p>\n Reprising their roles, Lesley Manville (The Crown<\/em>, Phantom Thread<\/em>) stars as Susan Ryeland, a book editor who all too often finds herself involved in baffling murders. Tim McMullan (Patrick Melrose<\/em>, The Crown<\/em>) plays Atticus P\u00fcnd, the literary detective who steps out of the books to help Susan unravel the real-life mystery of who killed Miriam Crace, the most famous children\u2019s author in the world.<\/p>\n Moonflower Murders<\/em> averaged 4.9 million viewers across the series, making it one of the BBC’s most-watched acquired scripted series in 2024.<\/p>\n Horowitz said: \u201cI\u2019m so happy to bring the team back\u2014stars, director, producers and crew\u2014for a third installment of what has been a fantastically successful TV series. I have a feeling this could be the best yet.\u201d<\/p>\n Green added: \u201cAnthony has once again brought his unique and original perspective to the world of murder mystery.
