The Danish miniseries Bullshit<\/em>, based on a nonfiction book about Copenhagen biker gangs in the late \u201970s and early \u201980s, is set to become available in the U.S. exclusively on Viaplay on January 30.<\/p>\n The coming-of-age drama tells the story of a group of lost and rebellious youths who find community and belonging in the hardcore biker gang known as Bullshit, which leads to a world of brutal conflict. Marco Ils\u00f8 (Vikings<\/em>) and Alba August (The Congregation<\/em>, The Rain<\/em>) star in the lead roles.<\/p>\n August plays Pia, a 16-year-old who leaves her difficult family with just 100 Kroner and meets 18-year-old Henning, played by Ils\u00f8, who turns his back on acceptable society to follow his dreams of brotherhood, freedom and motorcycles. As they embark on a wild love affair, Henning becomes determined to climb the ranks of the gang no matter the cost. He eventually becomes its president and Pia becomes his wife, but a bloody war with the Hells Angels changes everything.<\/p>\n Additional cast members are Clint Ruben (The Venus Effect<\/em>), Vic Carmen Sonne (The Kingdom Exodus<\/em>), Peter Christoffersen (Raised by Wolves<\/em>, When The Dust Settles<\/em>) and Adam Ild Rohweder (Persona non Grate<\/em>, Holiday<\/em>).<\/p>\n Bullshit<\/em> is produced by Nordisk Film Creative Alliance for Viaplay. It is written by creators Molly Malene Stensgaard (Dancer in the Dark<\/em>, Melancholia<\/em>), Bo Hr. Hansen (The Art of Crying<\/em>, Families Like Ours<\/em>) and Milad Alami (The Charmer<\/em>, When the Dust Settles<\/em>, Follow the Money<\/em>), with Alami directing.
