{"id":21840,"date":"2024-11-26T10:01:29","date_gmt":"2024-11-26T15:01:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/production-wraps-on-glassriver-spis-cold-haven\/"},"modified":"2024-11-26T11:41:10","modified_gmt":"2024-11-26T16:41:10","slug":"production-wraps-on-glassriver-spis-cold-haven","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/production-wraps-on-glassriver-spis-cold-haven\/","title":{"rendered":"Production Wraps on Glassriver &#038; SPi\u2019s Cold Haven"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Iceland\u2019s Glassriver and Portugal\u2019s SPi have wrapped production on the eight-part crime thriller <em>Cold Haven<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The series, predominantly set on the archipelago Vestmannaeyjar, centers on an Icelandic detective as she attempts to solve a murder within the Portuguese community on the Westman Islands.<\/p>\n<p>The Icelandic cast includes Krist\u00edn \u00de\u00f3ra Haraldsd\u00f3ttir (<em>Let Me Fall<\/em>, <em>The Valhalla Murders<\/em>, <em>Blackport<\/em>, <em>Stella Blomkvist<\/em>, <em>Katla<\/em>), Anna Svava Kn\u00fatsd\u00f3ttir (<em>Blackport<\/em>, <em>Life in a Fishbowl<\/em>), Elva \u00d3sk \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir (<em>The School of Housewives<\/em>, <em>The Minister<\/em>, <em>The Valhalla Murders<\/em>) and Sveinn \u00d3lafur Gunnarsson (<em>Summerlight\u2026 and Then Comes the Night<\/em>, <em>Fractures<\/em>,<em> Let Me Fall<\/em>, <em>Heartstone<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>The Portuguese cast includes Maria Jo\u00e3o Bastos (<em>Flor Sem Tempo<\/em>, <em>Motel Valkirias<\/em>), Catarina Rebelo (<em>Amor Maior<\/em>, <em>Mar Salgado<\/em>), Ivo Canelas (<em>Gl\u00f3ria<\/em>), Rui Morisson (<em>Flor Sem Tempo<\/em>, <em>Motel Valkirias<\/em>) and Cleia Almeida (<em>Nazar\u00e9<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><em>Cold Haven<\/em> is written by Filipa Poppe, Joana Andrade, Sveinbj\u00f6rn I. Baldvinsson and El\u00edas Helgi Kofoed-Hansen. It is directed by Arn\u00f3r P\u00e1lmi Arnarsson and Tiago Alvarez Marques.<\/p>\n<p>The co-production will broadcast on RTP in Portugal and S\u00edminn in Iceland. The characters who live and work on the Vestmann Islands represent the Portuguese diaspora, who, for various reasons, find themselves forced to leave their country. We believe that what drew us to this story is also what sparked the interest of RTP in Portugal and S\u00edminn in Iceland, as well as the French-origin international distributor About Premium Content.
