Asia is an important market for GoQuest Media from both a sales and acquisitions perspective. \u201cIn addition to distributing and securing deals for a wide range of Indian, Indonesian, Japanese and Korean titles and representing them at key markets, we have optioned several titles from our catalog for remakes this year,\u201d says Vivek Lath, managing director. The Estonian drama\u00a0Divorce in Peace<\/em>\u00a0and the Lithuanian series\u00a0Troll Farm<\/em>\u00a0have been optioned in India, for example.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year, we have also signed significant distribution partnerships to expand our offerings within the region and bring premium titles produced locally to global platforms,\u201d Lath adds.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, GoQuest inked a partnership deal to distribute Amuz Distribution\u2019s titles across various territories, including Asia. \u201cWe saw a strong synergy in our shared commitment to quality narratives and are excited to expand the reach of both our catalogs to our respective networks,\u201d Lath says.<\/p>\n

GoQuest has also partnered with Vidio, one of Indonesia\u2019s largest VOD service providers, to distribute its titles globally. The catalog includes popular shows such as\u00a0Ratu Adil<\/em>. The series stars Dian Sastrowardoyo, known for her role in Netflix\u2019s global hit\u00a0Cigarette Girl<\/em>. It tells the story of a housewife, Lasja Seoryo (played by Sastrowardoyo), as she fights to protect her family from Jakarta\u2019s 9 Dragons mafia.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the past decade of doing business in the region, we have collaborated with nearly all major players,\u201d Lath says. \u201cViewership demands here are highly diverse, with programming ranging from long-running melodramas to short, premium series.\u201d<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s catalog for Asia TV Forum (ATF) has been curated with this variety in mind. GoQuest is bringing a mix of long-running dramas, limited series and its co-production\u00a0Kuma\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/em>(The Other Wife<\/em>)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to ATF next month.\u00a0Kuma<\/em>\u00a0has recently been licensed in several territories, including India, Romania and Hungary. \u201cWe look forward to presenting the series to our AsiaPac buyers at the market,\u201d Lath says.<\/p>\n

Additional popular titles from Vidio include the mafia thriller\u00a0Serigala Terakhir<\/em>\u00a0(The Last Wolf<\/em>) and the romantic drama\u00a0The Perfect Strangers<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Joining its lineup is Telekom Srbija\u2019s\u00a0Absolute 100<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, about a young female shooting athlete, as well as TVP\u2019s crime thriller\u00a0Crusade<\/em>, recently licensed to Walter Presents. The company also has a new season of\u00a0Secrets of the Grapevine<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, along with other long-running dramas such as\u00a0Valmont<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Happiness Guaranteed<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Enhanced by the picturesque backdrops of Cappadocia and Istanbul, an appealing lead pair with great chemistry and intriguing subplots,\u00a0Kuma<\/em>\u00a0offers a highly engaging experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

The core story of\u00a0Kuma<\/em>\u00a0follows the journey of a young woman striving to find her own voice and agency in the face of formidable challenges. \u201cHer struggle against tradition, patriarchy, prejudice and the vendetta of her true love will resonate deeply with audiences who yearn for stories of resilience, empowerment and self-discovery,\u201d says Lath.<\/p>\n

GoQuest is now expanding its make-to-sell model from producing Turkish series to exploring Korean content as part of its commitment to backing stories that can appeal across multiple regions. \u201cAlthough we\u2019re still in the early stages, we want to announce our interest in connecting with local writers and production companies who would like to leverage our expertise to bring their stories to global audiences,\u201d says Lath.<\/p>\n
