Channel 4 has come on board the new crime thriller In Flight<\/em>, produced by Buccaneer Media (Marcella<\/em>, Crime<\/em>, The Burning Girls<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The 6×60-minute drama series is written and co-created by Mike Walden (Marcella<\/em>, Whitstable Pearl<\/em>) and Adam Randall (Slow Horses<\/em>, iBoy<\/em>) and directed by Chris Baugh (Wreck<\/em>, Tin Star<\/em>). Katherine Kelly (Mr Bates vs the Post Office<\/em>, The Long Shadow<\/em>) leads the cast, playing a flight attendant who finds her life turned upside down when she is blackmailed into drug smuggling after her son is arrested.<\/p>\n

ProSieben has prebought the series for Germany, along with SBS for Australia and TVNZ for New Zealand.<\/p>\n

Kelly said, \u201cI am really excited to be taking on the role of Jo, and I can\u2019t wait to tell her compelling story. I am delighted to be working with Buccaneer Media again, and it\u2019s a joy to be filming in Belfast.\u201d<\/p>\n
