Filming is now underway on a second season of The Couple Next Door<\/em> for Channel 4 in the U.K., with a brand-new story and new lead cast.<\/p>\n

Sam Palladio (Nashville<\/em>, The Princess Switch<\/em>), Annabel Scholey (The Split<\/em>, The Sixth Commandment<\/em>), Aggy K Adams (The Witcher<\/em>, Greek Salad<\/em>) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (One Piece<\/em>, Never Have I Ever<\/em>) take on the central roles in this new chapter of the psychological drama, alongside the return of Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered<\/em>, Not Going Out<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Written by David Allison (Bedlam<\/em>, Marcella<\/em>) and directed by Dries Vos (Suspect<\/em>, Professor T<\/em>), the second season will see viewers venture back into the claustrophobic world of the cul-de-sac and explore the fallout of taking your fantasies and making them reality.<\/p>\n

The first season of The Couple Next Door<\/em> was Channel 4\u2019s biggest scripted streaming launch ever, with episode one achieving more than 1 million streams in the first seven days.<\/p>\n

The series is loosely adapted from the Scandi drama Fatal Injections<\/em> and the Dutch format The Neighbours<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Scholey said: \u201cI am delighted to be joining the brilliant team behind Channel 4\u2019s The Couple Next Door<\/em>. I was a big fan of series one, and I am excited to be delving into David Allison\u2019s gripping new script with a hugely talented cast and crew while going back to my West Yorkshire roots as heart surgeon Charlotte Roberts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Palladio added: \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to join the amazing team at The Couple Next Door<\/em>. I was drawn to the project through its brilliant writing and challenging characters, and to step into the world of the show, which is already loved by fans and bring Jacob to life is really exciting. Having lived in the U.S. since shooting Nashville<\/em>, it\u2019ll be great to be back on British screens and to explore a troubled and complex character, which is unlike anything I\u2019ve done before.\u201d<\/p>\n
