Cineflix Rights has unveiled its MIPCOM slate of new series and specials, including a crime thriller, a dystopian sci-fi series, the latest installment of a cult fan-favorite and a mystery, alongside returning seasons of hit titles.<\/p>\n
Based on A.A. Dhand\u2019s best-selling novels, Virdee<\/em>, produced by Magical Society for BBC One and BBC iPlayer, follows a Bradford cop who hunts down a serial killer. Soon, the murderer kidnaps a local police chief\u2019s son and holds the entire city to ransom.<\/p>\n From producers of The Walking Dead<\/em> and Invincible<\/em>, Heart Attack<\/em>, produced by Skybound and ROBOT for Japan’s Fuji TV, is a dystopian drama. Set in a post-pandemic Japan, the series follows a segment of the population who have supernatural abilities, known as Variants, persecuted by the government and struggling against oppression because of their power.<\/p>\n Wynonna Earp: Vengeance<\/em>, produced by SEVEN24 Films in association with Cineflix Studios for Tubi, is a new special and the latest installment of the cult fan-favorite which follows Wyatt Earp\u2019s great-great granddaughter. The Burning Girls<\/em>, produced by Buccaneer for Paramount+, is based on the novel from C.J. Tudor and adapted by Hans Rosenfeldt and Camilla Ahlgren.<\/p>\n Returning seasons of hit dramas include the cozy crime series Whitstable Pearl<\/em> (Buccaneer for Acorn TV), based on Julie Wassmer\u2019s novels, and the Australian crime drama Last King of The Cross<\/em> (HELIUM for Paramount+).
