It is written by screenwriter Jamie Crichton (<em>All Creatures Great and Small<\/em>, <em>The Last Kingdom<\/em>, <em>Grantchester<\/em>) and based on Ming\u2019s book <em>For the Love of Julie<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>I Fought the Law<\/em> recounts how the tenacious mother of three battled for 15 years so that her daughter\u2019s murderer could finally face justice, having been controversially acquitted following two mistrials.<\/p>\n<p>The cast also includes Daniel York Loh (<em>Scarborough<\/em>) and Enzo Cilenti (<em>The Crown<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Hera Pictures (<em>Mary &amp; George<\/em>, <em>What It Feels Like For a Girl<\/em>, <em>Hamnet<\/em>, <em>Temple<\/em>, <em>Honour<\/em>) will produce the series in association with All3Media International. <em>I Fought the Law<\/em> will air on ITV1 and ITVX.<\/p>\n<p>All3Media International will be responsible for the distribution of the series.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Filming has begun on the new ITV and Hera Pictures drama I Fought the Law, starring Sheridan Smith.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":350,"featured_media":21328,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pmpro_default_level":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[70],"tags":[1849,8966,321,6660],"class_list":["post-21327","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","","category-top-stories","tag-hera-pictures","tag-i-fought-the-law","tag-itv","tag-sheridan-smith","pmpro-has-access"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
