{"id":21203,"date":"2024-08-02T09:52:28","date_gmt":"2024-08-02T13:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/hallmark-channel-to-debut-new-film-on-world-alzheimers-day\/"},"modified":"2024-08-02T09:52:32","modified_gmt":"2024-08-02T13:52:32","slug":"hallmark-channel-to-debut-new-film-on-world-alzheimers-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/hallmark-channel-to-debut-new-film-on-world-alzheimers-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Hallmark Channel to Debut New Film on World Alzheimer\u2019s Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The original movie <em>Falling Together<\/em> is set to bow on Hallmark Channel on September 21, World Alzheimer\u2019s Day, as part of the network\u2019s annual Fall into Love programming event.<\/p>\n<p>The Hallmark Media title, starring Ashley Williams (<em>Notes of Autumn<\/em>, <em>Five More Minutes: Moments Like These<\/em>) and Paul Campbell (<em>Magic in Mistletoe<\/em>, <em>Three Wise Men and a Baby<\/em>), sees a woman find fellowship and community in a new city through the Walk to End Alzheimer\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Williams, whose own mother has been affected by Alzheimer\u2019s, serves as executive producer, alongside her husband Neal Dodson (<em>Love, Classified<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Williams said, \u201cWhen I first moved to Manhattan a few years ago, I threw a \u2018chili party\u2019 in my apartment building to get to know everyone\u2014and no one came. Once I worked my way through the shame&#8230;and the copious leftovers&#8230;I thought, Maybe there&#8217;s a rom-com here!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTurns out this was the perfect leaping-off point to reunite with my dear friend Paul Campbell in a hilarious, warm, comedy amongst the autumn leaves. The Alzheimer&#8217;s Association was instrumental in providing resources for our family when my mother was ill, and getting to tell this story with their support is something I&#8217;m really proud of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPutting care into the world is a basic tenet of the Hallmark brand, so when Ashley and Neal brought this idea to us we felt it was a perfect fit,\u201d commented Bart Fisher, VP of programming for Hallmark Media. \u201cThis is an important cause that affects so many people, whether it\u2019s the patient or a family member.
