When her diabetic father moves in next door and she begins to experience marital issues, however, she reluctantly agrees to hire an au pair. A beguiling young French woman takes the job and causes an unsettling shift in the household.<\/p>\n<p>As instincts and suspicions arise, hidden agendas are hinted at and long-concealed truths are unveiled.<\/p>\n<p>The series stars stars Sir David Suchet (<em>Poirot<\/em>), Sally Bretton (<em>Beyond Paradise<\/em>, <em>Not Going Out<\/em>) and Kenny Doughty (<em>Vera<\/em>, <em>Stella<\/em>), as well as Ludmilla Makowski (<em>Anthracite<\/em>, <em>Lupin<\/em>) in her British television debut.<\/p>\n<p>The four-parter is being written by Michael Foott (<em>Desperate Measures<\/em>) and Andy Bayliss (<em>The Good Ship Murder<\/em>) and directed by Oonagh Kearney (<em>Vardy V Rooney<\/em>). Executive producers are Pernel Media\u2019s Samuel Kissous, MK1\u2019s Julie Ryan and Channel 5\u2019s Sebastian Cardwell and Paul Testar. Cormac Fox (<em>Animals<\/em>) is a producer.<\/p>\n<p>ITV Studios will be handling worldwide distribution of the series.
