International Television Production (WBITVP) Australia (<em>The Twelve<\/em>,<em> Love Me<\/em>) have teamed up to develop a scripted heist caper adaptation of <em>Stuff the British Stole<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Created and written by Anchuli Felicia King (<em>The Sympathizer<\/em>, <em>The Baby<\/em>, <em>Deadloch<\/em>), the six-part adaptation will explore the issue of repatriation through a humorous lens. Ben Chessell (<em>The Great<\/em>, <em>Giri Haji<\/em>, <em>Doctor Who<\/em>) is attached as director and writer.<\/p>\n<p>The creative team also includes Kacie Anning (<em>Class of \u201907<\/em>, <em>Upload<\/em>, <em>The Other Guy<\/em>) and award-winning First Nations writer and playwright Dylan Van Den Berg. The creator of the factual series, Marc Fennell, will be an executive producer alongside Wooden Horse\u2019s Richard Finlayson and Jude Troy and WBITVP Australia\u2019s Hamish Lewis and Michael Brooks.<\/p>\n<p>The factual series, based on Fennell\u2019s podcast of the same name, earned huge ratings on ABC Australia and CBC Canada. Season two premiered on ABC Australia this month, and a third season is already in development by Wooden Horse, WildBear Entertainment and Cream Productions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLed by Anchuli Felicia King, the writing team, alongside attached set-up director Ben Chessell, have developed a unique cast of diverse and fascinating characters, who almost accidentally steal their way to becoming the heroes of a global repatriation movement,\u201d the producers said. \u201cIf there\u2019s one thing we learned from the brilliant <em>Stuff the British Stole<\/em> factual series, it\u2019s that history is complex\u2014a lesson our characters will learn the hard way.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wooden Horse (The Clearing, Mother &#038; Son) and Warner Bros.
