The Viaplay channel has landed on Prime Video Channels in the U.S. as an add-on subscription.<\/p>\n

Subscribers can gain access for $5.99 a month, with a week-long free trial available for eligible customers. The move follows Viaplay’s recent decision to close its app and direct-to-consumer streaming service in the U.S. and Canada, focusing its international distribution strategy on building growth via partnerships.<\/p>\n

Viaplay\u2019s U.S. content offering focuses on the Nordic region\u2019s series and films, from crime-dramas and young adult series to riveting documentaries.<\/p>\n

Upcoming U.S. premieres include the drama series B\u00f6rje\u2013The Journey of a Legend, about the NHL icon; the return of hit Norwegian political thriller Furia; and the debut of Viaplay\u2019s original film Gold Run.<\/p>\n
