{"id":20401,"date":"2024-03-22T10:43:05","date_gmt":"2024-03-22T14:43:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/bbc-acquires-suits-more\/"},"modified":"2024-03-22T10:43:11","modified_gmt":"2024-03-22T14:43:11","slug":"bbc-acquires-suits-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/bbc-acquires-suits-more\/","title":{"rendered":"BBC Acquires Suits &#038; More"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BBC has acquired three new titles, including all nine seasons of the hit U.S. legal drama <em>Suits<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Set in a New York City law firm, <em>Suits<\/em> follows a scrappy young lawyer who uses his photographic memory to talk his way into a job as an associate under the successful Harvey Spector.<\/p>\n<p>The company has also acquired <em>St. Denis Medical<\/em>, a new workplace comedy set in an underfunded and understaffed Oregon hospital, as well as <em>The Best Man: The Final Chapters<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The shows will be available on BBC iPlayer and TV channels.<\/p>\n<p>Sue Deeks, head of BBC program acquisition, said: \u201cThis is a really exciting and enjoyable trio of star-studded series: the hotly anticipated comedy <em>St. Denis Medical<\/em>; the sassy, romantic comedy-drama <em>The Best Man: The Final Chapters<\/em>; and the smart and stylish legal drama <em>Suits<\/em>.
