Boat Rocker has teamed up with Ireland\u2019s Deadpan Pictures to produce the comedy drama Video Nasty<\/em> for BBC Northern Ireland, BBC Three, Virgin Media Television and WDR.<\/p>\n

Set in 1985, the six-part series will tell the story of three mostly normal but slightly weird teenagers who go on a quest to complete their cult VHS collection. In the process, they get mixed up in a murder investigation and become chief suspects and public enemies.<\/p>\n

Production for Video Nasty<\/em> is set to begin in April, with filming taking place in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. It is being produced with Screen Ireland\/F\u00eds \u00c9ireann. Boat Rocker will handle international distribution of the series.<\/p>\n

Video Nasty<\/em> is written and created by Hugh Travers (Your Mother Should Know<\/em>, Red Rock<\/em>). Christopher Smith (Spy\/Master<\/em>, Triangle<\/em>) and Megan K. Fox (Too Good to be True<\/em>) are directing.<\/p>\n
