Finland’s Elisa Viihde has commissioned a second season of the black comedy series The Man Who Died<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Man Who Died<\/em>, starring Jussi Vatanen (Fallen Leaves<\/em>), is based on Antti Tuomainen\u2019s best-selling story of one man\u2019s hunt for his own killer. The show is co-produced with Media Musketeers Studios, which is also distributing, and Sophisticated Films.<\/p>\n

It is also produced by Helsinki-based ReelMedia Oy with support from Creative Europe Media, Business Finland, the town of Hamina and the South East Finland Film Commission.<\/p>\n

The Man Who Died<\/em> is written by Brendan Foley, with the second season helmed by Samuli Valkama.<\/p>\n

Markku Flink, series producer for ReelMedia Oy, said: \u201cIt was the open ending of the original novel that made us ponder how far Jaakko would be willing to go if he got a second chance. Doesn\u2019t this cross everyone\u2019s mind time to time? So, it took off after the first brainstorming session with Antti and Brendan and the second series was born. We are delighted to be working with all our co-producers to bring this wonderful show to life.\u201d<\/p>\n
