{"id":19875,"date":"2024-01-03T13:00:36","date_gmt":"2024-01-03T18:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/thats-tv-launches-new-freeview-channel\/"},"modified":"2024-01-03T13:03:10","modified_gmt":"2024-01-03T18:03:10","slug":"thats-tv-launches-new-freeview-channel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/thats-tv-launches-new-freeview-channel\/","title":{"rendered":"That&#8217;s TV Launches New Freeview Channel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>That&#8217;s TV has rolled out its brand-new Freeview TV sister channel, That&#8217;s TV 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s TV 2 promises to bring a raft of classic TV shows to Freeview viewers, with its debut marking 35 years since <em>Home and Away<\/em> first aired in the U.K. The show&#8217;s first season will run on the channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other iconic series making a comeback for the That\u2019s TV 2 channel launch include <em>Humans<\/em>, the BAFTA-winning thriller about synthetic robots, along with <em>Baywatch<\/em> and <em>Prisoner: Cell Block H<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kris Vaiksalu, head of programming for That\u2019s TV and That\u2019s TV 2, said: \u201cOver the past year, That\u2019s TV has reached new heights, and we now have a schedule bursting with iconic TV shows from <em>Benidorm<\/em> to <em>Shameless<\/em>. There are so many more iconic TV shows we would love to show but we had simply run out of hours to fit them in. So I asked myself, What would Einstein do? It\u2019s been a lot of work but we\u2019re hugely excited and privileged to be launching That\u2019s TV 2 as our second archive TV channel. Our aim is to make it a complete nostalgia-fest with such iconic shows from the beginning as <em>Home and Away<\/em>, <em>Humans<\/em>, <em>Prisoner: Cell Block H<\/em> and <em>Baywatch<\/em>.
