The cast now also includes BAFTA winner Francesca Annis (<em>Fresh &amp; Blood<\/em>, <em>Home Fires<\/em>), Joe Dempsie (<em>Pieces of Her<\/em>, <em>Game of Thrones<\/em>) and Nina Toussaint-White (<em>Bodyguard<\/em>, <em>Witness Number 3<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Also joining the cast are Zoe Telford (<em>Men Only<\/em>, <em>Teachers<\/em>), Fisayo Akinade (<em>Heartstopper<\/em>, <em>Dangerous Liaisons<\/em>), Tom Padley (<em>The Lost Pirate Kingdom<\/em>, <em>Silent Witness<\/em>), Kerrie Hayes (<em>Blue Jean<\/em>, <em>Tin Star<\/em>), Ali Khan (<em>A Haunting in Venice<\/em>, <em>Everyone Else Burns<\/em>), Daniel Kendrick (<em>Inside Man<\/em>, <em>Call the Midwife<\/em>), Frankie Wilson (<em>Against the Ice<\/em>, <em>The Souvenir<\/em>) and Anna Pr\u00f3chniak (<em>The Tattooist of Auschwitz<\/em>, <em>Baptiste<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Anna Wilson Jones (<em>Victoria<\/em>, <em>Harlots<\/em>), John Light (<em>Around the World in 80 Days<\/em>, <em>Mars<\/em>) and Aidan McArdle (<em>Spy Master<\/em>, <em>The Duchess<\/em>) will also feature, alongside Daisy Badger (<em>The Sandman<\/em>, <em>Doctors<\/em>), Flora Montgomery (<em>The Crown<\/em>,<em> Bloodlands<\/em>), Pearce Quigley (<em>Detectorists<\/em>, <em>The Wheel of Time<\/em>), John Marquez (<em>Doc Martin<\/em>, <em>Britannia<\/em>), Anna Healy (<em>Mother\u2019s Day<\/em>, <em>Inside I\u2019m Dancing<\/em>) and Barney Fishwick (<em>Living<\/em>, <em>The Buccaneers<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>The new season, featuring the brand-new cast and new murder investigation, will this time focus on the trial of Officer X, a policeman accused of murdering a climate change activist.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Richards, creator and writer of the show, commented, \u201cWatching new cast added is always one of the most rewarding elements of creating a show. It is truly a privilege to have actors of such variety and talent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dempsie said, \u201cI\u2019m such a fan of everyone involved in this, and can\u2019t wait to bring Ben Richards\u2019 compelling scripts to life with all of them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Annis added, \u201cBen is a wonderful writer, and I am thrilled to bring the complex character of Dame Harriet Kenny to life.
