This includes episodes starring Ronald Reagan, who hosted the program from 1964 to 1966 as his final work as an actor prior to his political career.<\/p>\n<p>The show originated on the radio in the 1930s. It features true accounts of the American Old West, specifically in the Death Valley area of southeastern California. In addition to Reagan, hosts included Stanley Andrews, Robert Taylor and Dale Robertson. John Wayne, Clint Eastwood and Fess Parker were all guest stars of the series.<\/p>\n<p>FilmRise will distribute the restored series across all major streaming platforms and on the FilmRise Streaming Network, including the FilmRise Western FAST Channel.<\/p>\n<p>The deal was made between FilmRise, Element5 and SFM Entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis timeless TV series holds immense appeal to both mainstream audiences in the U.S. and beyond,\u201d said Max Einhorn, senior VP of acquisitions and co-productions at FilmRise. \u201cWe have witnessed the remarkable success of westerns like <em>The Rifleman<\/em>, <em>Hopalong Cassidy<\/em>, <em>The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp<\/em> and others, which have captivated viewers for decades.
