{"id":19539,"date":"2023-11-02T09:20:41","date_gmt":"2023-11-02T13:20:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/banijay-uk-acquires-forge\/"},"modified":"2023-11-02T11:21:30","modified_gmt":"2023-11-02T15:21:30","slug":"banijay-uk-acquires-the-forge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/banijay-uk-acquires-the-forge\/","title":{"rendered":"Banijay UK Acquires The Forge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Banijay UK has added the<em>\u00a0Marriage<\/em>, <em>Help<\/em> and <em>Becoming Elizabeth<\/em> producer The Forge to its stable of companies.<\/p>\n<p>The Forge&#8217;s current roster of titles in production includes <em>The Buccaneers<\/em> for Apple TV+, due to launch globally on November 8; the Disney+ series <em>Shardlake<\/em> by Stephen Butchard (<em>The Last Kingdom<\/em>); a factual drama about the Grenfell disaster by Peter Kosminsky (<em>Undeclared War<\/em>, <em>Government Inspector<\/em>, <em>Wolf Hall<\/em>) for BBC One; a youth-skewing drama series for BBC Three; and <em>Generation Z<\/em>, the first original TV project from Ben Wheatley (<em>The Meg II<\/em>, <em>Sightseers<\/em>, <em>Kill List<\/em>) currently shooting for Channel 4.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick Holland, CEO of Banijay UK, said: \u201cI have been a massive admirer of The Forge since its inception.
