Though they are outnumbered, outfinanced and outgunned, they have something the cartel does not: the unbreakable bond of blood.<\/p>\n<p>The cast features Clare Dunne (<em>Herself<\/em>), Charlie Cox (<em>Daredevil<\/em>), Aidan Gillen (<em>Game of Thrones<\/em>), Ciar\u00e1n Hinds (<em>Game of Thrones<\/em>), Sam Keeley (<em>The Cured<\/em>), Emmett J. Scanlan (<em>Peaky Blinders<\/em>), Maria Doyle Kennedy (<em>Outlander<\/em>) and newcomer Yasmin Seky.<\/p>\n<p><em>Kin<\/em> was acquired by the BBC from FIFTH SEASON (<em>Killing Eve<\/em>, <em>Severance<\/em>, <em>Tokyo Vice<\/em>). It is written and created by Peter McKenna (<em>The Last Kingdom<\/em>, <em>Red Rock<\/em>), who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Other executive producers are BRON Studios\u2019 David Davoli (<em>The Defeated<\/em>, <em>Bag of Bones<\/em>), Samantha Thomas (<em>Jessica Jones<\/em>, <em>Daredevil<\/em>), Steven Thibault (<em>Pieces of a Woman<\/em>, <em>Capone<\/em>) and Aaron L. Gilbert (<em>Bombshell<\/em>, <em>Joker<\/em>, <em>Fences<\/em>); Headline Pictures\u2019 Christian Baute (<em>Man in the High Castle<\/em>, <em>Funny Games<\/em>), Laurence Lenica and Frank Calderon; and Ciaran Donnelly (<em>Altered Carbon<\/em>, <em>Vikings<\/em>), who is also co-creator.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnchored by a tremendous cast, <em>Kin<\/em> is a powerful and intense story of love, grief, family and crime and its devastating ramifications,\u201d said Sue Deeks, head of BBC program acquisition.<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer Ebell, executive VP of EMEA sales and acquisitions at FIFTH SEASON, added, \u201c<em>Kin<\/em> aired in Ireland to critical acclaim and has generated record-breaking ratings across both linear and on-demand. The series has clocked up more than 4 million lifetime streams in Ireland, with the second season averaging a 40 percent audience share in its Sunday night slot and its finale becoming the most-viewed program of the year outside of sport.
