The European Alliance has awarded The Emperor\u2019s Stone: The Search of La Buse\u2019s Treasure<\/em> as the newest Call for Projects winner.<\/p>\n

From producers Nolita, Aircraft Pictures and Film Afrika, The Emperor\u2019s Stone<\/em> is described as a family adventure series similar to Indiana Jones<\/em> and in the footsteps of Pirates of the Caribbean<\/em> and The Da Vinci Code<\/em>. The six-parter will follow modern-day treasure hunter Th\u00e9o Levasseur, who discovers the diary of his famed ancestor: the real-life French pirate Olivier \u201cLa Buse\u201d Levasseur.<\/p>\n

Aircraft Pictures and Film Afrika initially developed the project with the financial support of the Canada Media Fund and South Africa\u2019s National Film and Video Foundation, working with executive producers Benjamin Anderson and Gina Marcheschi to prepare the project for the global marketplace.<\/p>\n

The European Alliance production pool was formed by France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions, ZDF and Rai to finance innovative TV series. The European Alliance has now produced more than ten premium TV series covering a wide range of genres, including Mirage<\/em>, Germinal<\/em>, 80 Days Around the World<\/em>, Leonardo<\/em>, Survivors<\/em>, The Swarm<\/em>, The Reunion<\/em> and soon The Gymnasts<\/em>, Concordia<\/em>, In Her Car<\/em> and The Kollective<\/em>.<\/p>\n
