Their path forward may lead them to a place of happiness and togetherness, or life and their own emotional complexities may get in the way.<\/p>\n<p><em>Alice &amp; Jack<\/em> comes from award-winning writer Victor Levin (<em>Mad Men<\/em>, <em>Mad About You<\/em>) and stars Riseborough (<em>To Leslie<\/em>, <em>Birdman<\/em>) alongside Gleeson (<em>Brooklyn<\/em>, <em>The Revenant<\/em>). Aisling Bea (<em>Greatest Days<\/em>, <em>This Way Up<\/em>), Aimee Lou Wood (<em>Sex Education<\/em>, <em>Living<\/em>) and Sunil Patel (<em>This Time with Alan Partridge<\/em>, <em>Stath Lets Flats<\/em>) also appear in supporting roles.<\/p>\n<p>Finnish film director and screenwriter Juho Kuosmanen, who co-wrote and directed<em> Compartment 6<\/em>, is the lead director, and Hong Khaou (<em>Lilting<\/em>) directs the second block of the series.<\/p>\n<p>PBS Masterpiece joined co-producers Fremantle, Groundswell Productions, Me+You Productions and De Maio Entertainment. The series is a collaboration with Channel 4, which is set to air the series exclusively in the U.K.<\/p>\n<p>Susanne Simpson, executive producer for PBS Masterpiece, said: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to come on board with <em>Alice &amp; Jack<\/em>. This is an exceptionally beautiful and profound series that we are proud to add to our lineup, and I\u2019m looking forward to sharing it with the U.S. audience in spring 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lisa Honig, senior executive VP of distribution for North America at Fremantle, said: \u201cWe\u2019re honored to be premiering <em>Alice &amp; Jack<\/em> at TIFF this weekend and that U.S. audiences will be able to enjoy this rich, emotional and cinematic series on Masterpiece next year.
