Soon, their friendship takes a deadly turn, culminating in a high-profile trial.<\/p>\n<p>The series, written by Sarah Phelps (<em>A Very British Scandal<\/em>, <em>The Pale Horse<\/em>) and directed by Saul Dibb (<em>The Salisbury Poisonings<\/em>), is inspired by the documentary <em>Catching A Killer: A Diary from the Grave<\/em>. The cast includes Annabel Scholey (<em>The Split<\/em>, <em>The Salisbury Poisonings<\/em>), Sheila Hancock (<em>Unforgotten<\/em>, <em>A Discovery of Witches<\/em>, <em>Great Canal Journeys<\/em>), Ben Bailey Smith (<em>The Split<\/em>, <em>Andor<\/em>), Conor MacNeill (<em>Industry<\/em>), Adrian Rawlins (<em>Baptiste<\/em>, <em>Chernobyl<\/em>) and Amanda Root (<em>Summerland<\/em>, <em>Unforgotten<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><em>The Sixth Commandment<\/em> is produced by Frances du Pille (<em>The Outlaws<\/em>, <em>The Watch<\/em>). It is executive produced by Derek Wax, Phelps and Dibb for Wild Mercury Productions, Brian Woods for True Vision Productions and Lucy Richer for the BBC. The series is being distributed internationally by Banijay Rights.<\/p>\n<p><em>This England<\/em>, the six-part series based on Boris Johnson\u2019s first months as the U.K.&#8217;s prime minister, is set to premiere in November. Co-written and directed by Michael Winterbottom (<em>24 Hour Party People<\/em>, <em>A Mighty Heart<\/em>) and executive produced by Richard Brown (<em>True Detective<\/em>, <em>Catch-22<\/em>), the drama follows Johnson (Kenneth Branagh) as he grapples with the pandemic, Brexit and his personal life.<\/p>\n<p><em>This England<\/em> is also produced by Emmy Award winner Josh Hyams (<em>I Am\u2026<\/em>), Anthony Wilcox (<em>On the Road<\/em>) and Melissa Parmenter (<em>The Road to Guant\u00e1namo<\/em>). Fremantle handles global sales of the series.
