The series will be presented in its entirety on the closing night of the festival.<\/p>\n<p>Julia de Nunez stars as Bardot, supported by a cast that includes Vincent Belmondo as Bardot\u2019s first husband, writer and director Roger Vadim; Hippolyte Girardot as her father; and G\u00e9raldine Paihas as her mother.<\/p>\n<p><em>Bardot<\/em> was co-written and co-directed by Academy Award-nominated writer\/director Dani\u00e8le Thompson and her son, writer\/director Christopher Thompson. The series is produced and distributed by Federation Studios.<\/p>\n<p>The series will be included in the American French Film Festival\u2019s competition for the best series award. Dani\u00e9le Thompson will attend the premiere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the very first time that a film or series has been dedicated to the iconic French star Brigitte Bardot,\u201d said Francois Truffart, executive producer and programmer of the American French Film Festival. \u201cThere has been a tremendous amount of buzz about <em>Bardot<\/em> in France, and we are delighted to be the first to present it on the big screen and in North America with the film\u2019s accomplished co-writer\/co-director Dani\u00e9le Thompson.
