As a criminal among criminals, Malik must do his best to survive.<\/p>\n<p>The series is being produced by CPB Films and Media Musketeers Studios and co-produced by UGC, Orange Studio,\u00a0Entourage Series<b> <\/b> and Savon Noir, with the participation of OCS. It has been developed by the original team, including creators and writers Abdel Raouf Dafri (<em>Mesrine<\/em>, <em>Braquo<\/em>) and Nicolas Peufaillit (<em>The Returns)<\/em> as well as producer Marco Cherqui (<em>Savages<\/em>) and in agreement with the producers of the original film, Why Not Productions and Page 114. Enrico Maria Artale (<em>Romulus<\/em>, <em>Django 2022<\/em>) is directing.<\/p>\n<p>The series sees Mamadou Sidib\u00e9 star in his first-ever role. He portrays Malik. Other cast members are Sami Bouajila (<em>Days of Glory<\/em>, <em>A Son<\/em>), Ouassini Embarek (<em>Athena<\/em>, <em>The Eddy<\/em>), Matthieu Lucci (<em>Oussekine<\/em>, <em>Le Patient<\/em>), Nailia Harzoune (<em>Plac\u00e9s<\/em>, <em>La Bonne Conduite<\/em>), Faued Nabba aka Kofs (<em>Bac Nord<\/em>, <em>Valid\u00e9<\/em>) and Moussa Maaskri (<em>Stillwater<\/em>, <em>Les SEGPAS<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>STUDIOCANAL is distributing the series internationally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>A Prophet, The Series<\/em> is a series of today: as contemporary a story as was the film in its time,\u201d said Cherqui. \u201cWe have reimagined Malik as of African origin and, as our characters interchange and transform at the same time as society evolves, our themes remain the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>S\u00e9bastien Janin, managing partner of Media Musketeers and series producer, added, \u201cWorking with our partners and the creative powerhouse behind the project will enable us to bring this powerful story to the widest possible audience.
