The series follows \u00d6mer Ademoglu (Selahattin\u00a0Pa\u015fal\u0131), a muezzin in the mosque where his father, Resat (Bar\u0131\u015f Falay), works as an imam. As \u00d6mer\u2019s life turns upside down, he meets a single mother, Gamze (G\u00f6k\u00e7e Bahadir), and together they navigate the tests of family, tradition and love.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Turkish remake is directed by Cem Karci.\u00a0<\/span>Season one, consisting of 21 two-hour episodes, surpassed Star\u2019s average share by double and consistently took the top spot in the ratings. Season two is slated to launch in September.<\/p>\n<p>Dori Media Group&#8217;s <em>Shtisel<\/em>, produced by Abot Hameiri (a Fremantle company) and Dikla Barkai for YES, was created and written by Ori Elon and Yehonatan Indursky.<\/p>\n<p>Nadav Palti, CEO and president of Dori Media Group, said: &#8220;Since the first episode was released, <em>\u00d6mer<\/em>\u00a0has continued to gain undeniable momentum and audience appreciation born with <em>Shtisel<\/em>.
