{"id":18760,"date":"2023-06-05T10:30:06","date_gmt":"2023-06-05T14:30:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/oble-studios-teams-amcni-cne-hungarian-series\/"},"modified":"2023-06-05T10:30:06","modified_gmt":"2023-06-05T14:30:06","slug":"oble-studios-teams-with-amcni-cne-for-hungarian-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/oble-studios-teams-with-amcni-cne-for-hungarian-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Oble Studios Teams with AMCNI CNE for Hungarian Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oble Studios has partnered with AMC Networks International Central Europe (AMCNI CNE) to co-develop the Hungarian drama series <em>Fata Morgana<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Based on a Hungarian tale, the show centers on anti-hero Victoria, who disguises herself as a man and goes on a killing spree to avenge oppressed and abused women.<\/p>\n<p>Gabor Harmi is serving as showrunner for the series, which is being written by Zsofi Ruttkay, Gyorgy Palfi and Gabor Papp. It is being spearheaded by creative producer Csaba Toth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAMCNI CNE chose <em>Fata Morgana<\/em> from several other promising scripts because we believe that in addition to our locally developed series, there is a potential in scripted reality to further enrich the palette of our original productions,\u201d said Katalin Rad\u00f3czy, VP of programming at AMCNI Central Europe. \u201cThe story is a true Eastern wild romance with its implied horroristic nature, yet it tackles important questions in the field womanhood, stopping abuse and taking responsibility. Although based on a true story from the beginning of the last century, it still has relevance for today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to partner with Oble to bring this Hungarian tale to life,\u201d Toth said. \u201cLike our main character, we aim at challenging conventions with this story and offering a grittier, more secretive and darker take on the Western genre. With <em>Fata Morgana<\/em>, we want to creative a captivating and thought-provoking series that pushes boundaries both visually and narratively.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lydia Kali of Oble added, \u201c<em>Fata Morgana<\/em> is the fascinating, deeply engaging story of a woman fighting a violent, patriarchal society. Our anti-hero is an angel of vengeance that navigates between genders. A masculine woman and a feminine man.
