Eight months after its fall launch in Europe, SkyShowtime has unveiled a slate of ten original, exclusive series set to come this year.<\/p>\n
The upcoming slate includes Codename: Annika<\/em>, a Finnish-Swedish crime drama revolving around a Finnish art-fraud investigator who goes undercover to infiltrate an auction house in Stockholm to investigate its connection with a notorious money launderer. It will begin streaming in the Nordics later this year.<\/p>\n The Spanish SkyShowtime original\u00a0Las Invisibles\u00a0<\/em>(The Invisible Ladies<\/em>), meanwhile, is slated to premiere in Spain on June 5. It centers on a group of strong women characters who, as maids working at a luxury hotel in the Mediterranean, work to restructure their own lives that are juxtaposed against those of the wealthy visitors at the resort.<\/p>\n Previously announced SkyShowtime originals includes the Polish drama Warszawianka<\/em>, becoming\u00a0available to audiences on June 19; the Czech and Slovakian comedy The Winner<\/em>, coming later this year; and the Spanish original Mentiras Pasajeras<\/em>\u00a0(Fleeting Lies<\/em>), also coming later this year. Additional Spanish originals such as Bos\u00e9<\/em>\u00a0and Los Enviados<\/em> (The Envoys<\/em>) are already available for audiences, with season two of Por H o por B<\/em> beginning to stream on May 26 and season two of Los Enviados<\/em> debuting later this year.<\/p>\n Other new series coming to the streamer throughout the year are Poker Face<\/em>, starring Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll<\/em>, Orange Is the New Black<\/em>), and Django<\/em>, a Western-style series that reimagines the famous 1866 film.<\/p>\n Later on in the year, SkyShowtime will premiere The Curse<\/em>, an original starring Emma Stone, Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie that explores how an alleged curse disturbs the relationship of a newly married couple. The platform will also exclusively premiere the latest Taylor Sheridan series, Special Ops: Lioness<\/em>, starring series lead and executive producer Zoe Salda\u00f1a, executive producer Nicole Kidman, Laysla De Oliveira and Morgan Freeman.<\/p>\n Season five of Yellowstone<\/em> will stream exclusively across SkyShowtime markets later this year, as will the second seasons of 1923<\/em>, Tulsa King<\/em> and Halo<\/em>.
