Emmy Award-winning creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/em>, Gilmore Girls<\/em>) have received a series order from Prime Video for their new original show \u00c9toile<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Set in New York City and Paris, it will follow the dancers and artistic staff of two world-renowned ballet companies as they embark on an ambitious feat to save their institutions by swapping their most talented stars. Sherman-Palladino and Palladino will write, direct and executive produce.<\/p>\n

Luke Kirby (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/em>), Camille Cottin (Call My Agent!<\/em>), Simon Callow (Outlander<\/em>), Lou de La\u00e2ge (The Innocents<\/em>), Gideon Glick (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/em>) and David Alvarez (West Side Story<\/em>) are already set to star in the series, which will be shot on location in New York and Paris.<\/p>\n

In addition to Sherman-Palladino and Palladino, Dhana Rivera Gilbert will executive produce, with Scott Ellis serving as co-executive producer. The show is being developed under Amazon Studios\u2019 overall deal with Sherman-Palladino and Palladino.<\/p>\n

This order comes as the fifth and final season of Sherman-Palladino and Palladino\u2019s most recent series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/em>, launched earlier this month on Prime Video. New episodes will continue to drop every week until the series finale on May 26.<\/p>\n
