De Niro leads the cast as former American President George Mullen, who is pulled from retirement to head a commission investigating a global cyber attack, while the new members star as people in his inner circle.<\/p>\n<p>Caplan plays Alexandra Mullen, a young congresswoman who has sought to distance herself from her father\u2019s political legacy, while Allen stars as Sheila Mullen, former First Lady whose professional ambitions have always taken a backseat to her husband\u2019s career. Plemons stars as a former Mullen \u201cbody man\u201d seeking a return to the national stage, and Britton is a savvy political operative who is Mullen\u2019s former chief of staff.<\/p>\n<p>The limited series comes from creators and executive producers Eric Newman for Grand Electric Productions (<em>The Water<\/em>, <em>Narcos<\/em>, <em>Narcos: Mexico<\/em>), Noah Oppenheim (<em>Jackie<\/em>, <em>The Thing About Pam<\/em>, <em>The Maze Runner<\/em>) and Michael S. Schmidt. Newman and Oppenheim are penning the series.
