Two people who have never met, one on the train and one not, must work together to save the lives of the passengers from the rapidly escalating events on board.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Cole and Roach, the <em>Nightsleeper<\/em> cast includes Alex Ferns (<em>The Devil\u2019s Hour<\/em>), Sharon Small (<em>The Bay<\/em>), James Cosmo (<em>Tom Clancy\u2019s Jack Ryan<\/em>), David Threlfall (<em>Shameless<\/em>), Daniel Cahill (<em>The Control Room<\/em>), Lois Chimimba (<em>Vigil<\/em>), Gabriel Howell (<em>The Fence<\/em>), Katie Leung (<em>Harry Potter <\/em>franchise), Leah MacRae (<em>Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything<\/em>), Ruth Madeley (<em>Years and Years<\/em>), Adam Mitchell (<em>Mother\u2019s Day<\/em>), Pamela Nomvete (<em>Andor<\/em>), Scott Reid (<em>Maxine<\/em>), Sharon Rooney (<em>Jerk<\/em>) and Parth Thakerar (<em>Gangs of London<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>BAFTA award-winning writer Nick Leather (<em>The Control Room<\/em>, <em>Mother\u2019s Day<\/em>) is writing the series and executive producing, alongside Kate Harwood, Euston Films\u2019 managing director, and Gaynor Holmes for the BBC. Jamie Magnus Stone (<em>Doctor Who<\/em>, <em>Ten Pound Poms<\/em>) and John Hayes (<em>Dublin Murders<\/em>) are directing.<\/p>\n<p>The six-parter series will debut on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
