C More has commissioned a second six-episode season of the detective drama Helsinki Crimes<\/em> (Harjunp\u00e4\u00e4<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The first season of Helsinki Crimes<\/em> became one of C More\u2019s most-watched crime series to date. Shooting of the second season is now underway and will see Chief Constable Timo Harjunp\u00e4\u00e4 and his murder team investigating bloody clashes between street gangs, love scams and a wave of burglaries plaguing the city, among others.<\/p>\n

Olli Rahkonen stars as detective Tomi Harjunp\u00e4\u00e4, Olga Temonen plays his partner Onerva Nyk\u00e4nen and Alma P\u00f6ysti as Hietanen. Also returning to the series are Sanna Saarij\u00e4rvi, Robin Svartstr\u00f6m, Emilia Neuvonen and Jutta J\u00e4rvinen.<\/p>\n

Helsinki Crimes<\/em>, based on Matti Yrj\u00e4n\u00e4 Joensuu\u2019s series of novels, is produced by ITV Studios Finland, co-produced and distributed by French production and distribution outfit Oble.<\/p>\n

The first season sold to Australia\u2019s SBS On Demand, AMC Networks International\u2019s SundanceTV in Spain and Walter Presents in the U.K. and Ireland.<\/p>\n

Harri Virtanen\u2019s interpretation of Joensuu\u2019s novels have delivered an original, fresh detective series, both in terms of characters and setting.
