{"id":18360,"date":"2023-03-14T10:12:46","date_gmt":"2023-03-14T14:12:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/skyshowtime-acquires-local-originals-spain-portugal\/"},"modified":"2023-03-14T10:12:46","modified_gmt":"2023-03-14T14:12:46","slug":"skyshowtime-acquires-local-originals-for-spain-portugal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/skyshowtime-acquires-local-originals-for-spain-portugal\/","title":{"rendered":"SkyShowtime Acquires Local Originals for Spain &amp; Portugal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SkyShowtime has acquired two new original series for its service in Spain and Portugal, including Paramount and Morena Films\u2019 <em>The Invisible Ladies<\/em> (<em>Las Invisibles<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Centered around a group of maids who clean the rooms of a luxury hotel in the Mediterranean, <em>The Invisible Ladies<\/em> portrays the reality of women who struggle to earn a living but always find a moment to smile and appreciate life\u2019s little pleasures.<\/p>\n<p>Created by H\u00e9ctor Lozano (<em>Merl\u00ed: Sapere Aude<\/em>) and directed by Menna Fit\u00e9 (<em>Merl\u00ed: Sapere Aude<\/em>) and Marta D\u00edaz (<em>Mi querida cofrad\u00eda<\/em>), the eight-part series stars Lolita Flores, Maria Pujalte, Yoshira Esc\u00e1rrega, Paula del R\u00edo, Paula Mir\u00e1, Ya\u00ebl Belicha and Elena Irureta.\u00a0It is set to debut at the Malaga Film Festival on March 16 and will land on SkyShowtime later this year.<\/p>\n<p>SkyShowtime also picked up Paramount and El Deseo\u2019s <em>Fleeting Lies<\/em> (<em>Mentiras Pasajeras<\/em>), starring Hugo Silva and Elena Anaya. It tells the story of a company director who is betrayed by her promotion rival and accused of industrial espionage one month before her wedding. When she is fired, she decides to keep it a secret from her family.<\/p>\n<p>Silva and Anaya are joined in the cast by Pilar Castro, Quim Guti\u00e9rrez, Susi S\u00e1nchez, Mar\u00eda Botto, Mar\u00eda Le\u00f3n, Pedro Casablanc and Juli\u00e1n L\u00f3pez.
