NHK Enterprises (NEP) and the South Korean production house Big Ocean ENM have inked a deal for an adaptation of the drama I\u2019ll Still Love You Ten Years from Now<\/em>.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll Still Love You Ten Years from Now<\/em> aired on NHK in 2010. The romantic dramedy sees a woman\u2019s future husband travel ten years back through time to stop her from marrying him in the present because their marriage has completely fallen apart in the future.<\/p>\n

The screenplay is from Omori Mika (Buzzer Beat<\/em>, Kaiji: The Ultimate Gambler<\/em>, Kurara: The Dazzling Life of Hokusai\u2019s Daughter<\/em>, Here Comes Asa!<\/em>, Reach Beyond the Blue Sky<\/em>, Saint<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The Korean screenplay will be written by Kim Jae-hwan (Operation Chromite<\/em>). Big Ocean ENM plans to start filming at the end of this year, with a view to making a dozen 65-minute episodes.<\/p>\n

The deal marks NHK\u2019s first adaptation agreement with an international partner.<\/p>\n

NEP\u2019s general manager of content distribution, Yonemura Yuko, commented: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled about this first-ever adaptation licensing deal for an NHK drama. Big Ocean ENM is a real success among South Korean production houses, so we\u2019re excited to see how it adapts this drama. NHK\u2019s dramas have been selling well internationally, and we\u2019ve always hoped to license more scripted formats. This deal will give us momentum to do more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Big Ocean ENM producer Lee Seri said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted that such outstanding content has brought NEP and Big Ocean ENM together as partners. We\u2019re getting ready to devote all our energy to the adaptation so as to make it a success in South Korea and more widely around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jae-hwan added: \u201cWhen I first saw this drama, it struck me as a profound, new way to look at love. Ever since then, I\u2019ve been wanting to adapt it for South Korea. I\u2019m thrilled that I now have the opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
