The five young women of the group, who were put together on the music reality TV show <em>Pop Rush<\/em>, must navigate the dark side of the glamorous music industry.<\/p>\n<p>Emalia\u00a0(<em>Australian Gangster<\/em>),\u00a0Naomi Sequeira\u00a0(<em>Evermoor Chronicles<\/em>),\u00a0Miah Madden\u00a0(<em>Redfern Now<\/em>), Courtney Clarke\u00a0(<em>Last King of The Cross<\/em>)\u00a0and\u00a0Courtney Monsma\u00a0(<em>Frozen The Musical<\/em>) star in the lead roles.<\/p>\n<p><em>Paper Dolls<\/em> is based on an original concept by Belinda Chapple and created and written by Ainslie Clouston (<em>Amazing Grace<\/em>) for Network 10, with major production investment from Screen Australia in association with Screen NSW. The writing team also includes David Hannam\u00a0(<em>Darby and Joan<\/em>),\u00a0Marieke Hardy\u00a0(<em>Heartbreak High<\/em>),\u00a0Jenna Purcell, Sara Khan\u00a0(<em>Heartbreak High<\/em>)\u00a0and\u00a0Thomas Wilson-White\u00a0(<em>Heartbreak High<\/em>). Tenika Smith\u00a0(<em>The Heights<\/em>),\u00a0Nina Buxton\u00a0(<em>Summer Love<\/em>) and\u00a0Erin White\u00a0(<em>Wellmania<\/em>) are directors.<\/p>\n<p>Series producers are Jessica Carrera\u00a0(<em>Seriously Red<\/em>)\u00a0and\u00a0Kerrie Mainwaring\u00a0(<em>Bali 2002<\/em>), with Mark Fennessy\u00a0(<em>Last King of The Cross<\/em>)\u00a0and\u00a0Chapple executive producing.
