Wells will write the series.<\/p>\n<p>Proximity Media will executive produce via its overall deal with Onyx Collective, along with Wells, Tesfai and Proximity\u2019s Ryan Coogler, Kalia King, Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler.<\/p>\n<p>Tesfai co-starred and wrote on The CW\u2019s <em>Supergirl<\/em> and was the first Ethiopian person to portray a comic superhero on screen. Currently, she is also writing a pilot for <em>The Chase<\/em>, in development at NBC.<\/p>\n<p>Wells most recently worked on Marvel\u2019s upcoming limited series <em>Echo<\/em> for Disney+. She has also written for Showtime\u2019s <em>Yellowjackets<\/em>, for which she was nominated for two Writers Guild Awards.
