It broke the record for the most hours viewed in a week for an English-language TV series on Netflix in its first and second weeks.<\/p>\n<p><em>Wednesday<\/em> has also had six consecutive weeks with over 100 million hours viewed on the English TV list. Its impact has reached into other areas as well. The series\u2019 soundtrack reached number one on the iTunes Soundtrack chart and, on Spotify, Wednesday Addams, the artist, has over 1 million followers. Also on Spotify, \u201cGoo Goo Muck\u201d by The Cramps, the song which Wednesday dances to, saw a streaming increase of more than 9,500 percent. The dance scene has gone viral across social media in its own right, with fan-generated content using \u201cBlood Mary\u201d by Lady Gaga, leading to a streaming increase of more than 1,800 percent of the song on Spotify.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Wednesday\u2019s makeup look has been searched for and viewed over 100 million times on TikTok, and <em>Wednesday<\/em> products have been selling out at retailers such as Hot Topic, MAC and Cakeworthy.<\/p>\n<p>The series is produced by MGM Television, with Tim Burton directing and executive producing. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are showrunners, executive producers and writers. Other executive producers are Steve Stark (Toluca Pictures), Andrew Mittman (1.21 Entertainment), Kevin Miserocchi (Tee and Charles Addams Foundation), Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman (Glickmania), Gail Berman, Tommy Harper and Kevin Lafferty.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been incredible to create a show that has connected with people across the world,\u201d Gough and Millar told Tudum.com. \u201cThrilled to continue Wednesday\u2019s tortuous journey into season two.
