Mark L. Smith (<em>The Midnight Sky<\/em>, <em>The Revenant<\/em>) is writing.<\/p>\n<p>Executive producers are Berg for Film 44, Eric Newman for Grand Electric (<em>The Watcher<\/em>, <em>Narcos<\/em>, <em>Narcos: Mexico<\/em>) and Smith. <em>American Primeval<\/em> is the first project under Berg\u2019s overall deal with Netflix.<\/p>\n<p>Berg, Newman and Kitsch previously worked together on <em>Painkiller<\/em>, which will premiere on Netflix in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very appreciative that Netflix is trusting us to take a big swing with <em>American Primeval<\/em>,\u201d Berg said. \u201cI\u2019m looking forward to taking viewers into the most dynamic, intense and heart-pounding survival tale humanly possible.
