RX France, formerly Reed MIDEM, and All3Media International are hosting a special red carpet screening of the western The English<\/em> at MIPCOM Cannes.<\/p>\n

Taking place on Sunday, October 16 at 6 p.m. in the Grand Auditorium, the screening will be followed by a Q&A with the attending talent for MIPCOM delegates and the public. Lead actors Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer will join writer and director Hugo Blick for the event.<\/p>\n

A six-part series, The English<\/em> takes the core themes of identity and revenge to tell a uniquely compelling parable on race, love and power. An aristocratic Englishwoman, Lady Cornelia Locke (Blunt), and Eli Whipp (Spencer) come together in 1890 mid-America to cross a violent landscape built on dreams and blood.<\/p>\n

The English<\/em> is produced by Drama Republic and Eight Rooks for BBC Two and BBC iPlayer in the U.K. and Amazon Prime Video in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand, in association with All3Media International, which is also distributing.<\/p>\n
