Endeavor Content-backed production company Nordic Drama Queens has hired Swedish Film Institute alum Helen Ahlsson, effective September 1.<\/p>\n
At the Swedish Film Institute, Ahlsson served as commissioning editor for international co-productions and was Sweden\u2019s representative to Eurimages. She also led the Moving Sweden initiative for new writing and directing talent.<\/p>\n
Prior to that, Ahlsson was a producer at Tre V\u00e4nner (now SF Studios) and produced the Guldbagge-winning Armwrestler from Solitude<\/em> and Kid Svensk<\/em>, as well as The Fj\u00e4llbacka Murders<\/em>. She also produced Lisa Langseth\u2019s Pure<\/em> (Till det som \u00e4r vackert<\/em>), which introduced Alicia Vikander, and executive produced the Oscar-nominated A Man Called Ove<\/em>.<\/p>\n Ahlsson joins Nordic Drama Queens as it is working on producing Cry Wolf<\/em> (Vargasommar<\/em>), written by The Bridge<\/em> duo Hans Rosenfeldt and Camilla Ahlgren, for TV4\/C More.<\/p>\n Nordic Drama Queens was launched in September 2021 by Sandra Harms, Josefine Tengblad and Line Winther Skyum Funch. The company also recently hired producer Eiffel Mattsson, senior legal counsel Christine Emilie Gr\u00e6sholt and assistant producer Emma R\u00f6nn.<\/p>\n \u201cI have worked with Helen on several occasions before and was always impressed by her drive, stubbornness and passion for producing film and TV,\u201d Harms said. \u201cAfter years as commissioning editor at Moving Sweden, Helen also has the best possible knowledge on new talent in the industry.
