MUBI has acquired Lars von Trier\u2019s The Kingdom Exodus<\/em> for North America, the U.K., Ireland, Latin America, Turkey and India.<\/p>\n

Presented by TrustNordisk and produced by Zentropa Entertainments, The Kingdom Exodus<\/em> is the third and final season of the TV series. It will receive its world premiere out of competition at the Venice International Film Festival and broadcast exclusively on MUBI in the fall.<\/p>\n

The Kingdom Exodus<\/em> stars Mikael Persbrandt, Lars Mikkelsen, Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Tuva Novotny, David Dencik, with Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd and David Dencik guest-starring. Von Trier has written the script in collaboration with Niels V\u00f8rsel, with whom he also wrote the previous seasons. Louise Vesth is producing for Zentropa Entertainments, with NENT Group and DR as co-producers.<\/p>\n

MUBI has also acquired the first two seasons of The Kingdom<\/em>, which aired in 1994 and 1997, respectively. They have been newly restored in never-before-seen director\u2019s cuts and will be streaming exclusively on MUBI ahead of the broadcast of the five-part The Kingdom Exodus<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Influenced by the ghostly series The Kingdom<\/em>, sleepwalker Karen seeks answers to the unresolved questions of the series in order to save the hospital from doom. One night, Karen sleepwalks into the darkness and inexplicably ends up in front of the hospital. The gate to the Kingdom is opening once more.<\/p>\n

The Kingdom Exodus<\/em> is presented by Viaplay and DR. It is produced by Zentropa Entertainments in co-production with Film I V\u00e4st, Zentropa Sweden and Ginger Pictures, with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond and co-produced with support from BNP Paribas Fortis Film Finance and developed with the support of The Creative Europe Media Programme of the European Union.<\/p>\n
