AMC Networks\u2019 Acorn TV and Channel 5 have given a two-season renewal to the detective drama Dalgliesh<\/em>.<\/p>\n The 6×1-hour second season of Dalgliesh<\/em> will adapt an additional three novels from P.D. James\u2019 international best-selling murder mysteries. Bertie Carvel (Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell<\/em>, Agatha Christie\u2019s The Pale Horse<\/em>, Doctor Foster<\/em>) will reprise the role of Chief Inspector Adam Dalgliesh.<\/p>\n Season three will continue the novels by P.D. James and film in 2023.<\/p>\n New Pictures (Des<\/em>, The Missin<\/em>g, Cobra<\/em>) has been commissioned to produce both seasons with additional funding from Northern Ireland Screen. Acorn Media Enterprises serves as distributor for both seasons in North America, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Mexico, and All3Media International serves as distributors for the rest of the world.<\/p>\n Catherine Mackin, managing director of Acorn Media Enterprises, said: \u201cBertie Carvel\u2019s expert portrayal of Chief Inspector Adam Dalgliesh delivers a lasting charm and sophistication that is unmatched and, clearly, a must-watch.
