As his first project, he joins the previously announced <em>Passenger<\/em> as executive producer.<\/p>\n<p>Maloney will work alongside Lucy Dyke (<em>The Split<\/em>, <em>Black Mirror<\/em>, <em>Eric<\/em>), creative director of scripted at Northern Sister.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to this, Maloney worked as a freelance producer and has overseen a range of high-profile projects, including Jimmy McGovern\u2019s <em>Time<\/em> (BBC), Michaela Coel\u2019s multi-award-winning <em>I May Destroy You<\/em> (BBC), season three of <em>Peaky Blinders<\/em> (BBC\/Netflix) and most recently, the BBC adaptation of Dolly Alderton\u2019s memoir, <em>Everything I Know about Love<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>He also has experience working as first assistant director on projects such as <em>The Railway Man<\/em>, <em>Peaky Blinders<\/em> season one, <em>Luther<\/em>, <em>Penny Dreadful<\/em>, <em>Fortitude<\/em>, <em>Marvellous<\/em> and <em>The Honourable Woman<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m incredibly excited to be joining the Sister team, having been a huge fan of the groundbreaking and prestigious television that is synonymous with the company, and I can\u2019t wait to start working alongside Lucy, Jane and the rest of the team,\u201d Maloney said. \u201cI\u2019m incredibly passionate about what\u00a0Manchester and the North\u00a0has to offer; not only is there\u00a0a vast wealth of talent and experience on both sides of the camera here but\u00a0superb locations, resources and infrastructure. It\u2019s been a career-long goal to have a meaningful impact in the region, nurturing new, vibrant\u00a0talent and attracting high-end shows.\u00a0To be able to do this under the Northern Sister banner alongside an amazing producer like Lucy is an incredibly opportunity and a privilege.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dyke added, \u201cWe are thrilled that the hugely talented Simon Maloney is joining the Northern Sister team.
