The third season, which rolled out on TV2 earlier this year, has been picked up by Acorn TV for the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>A blue-sky take on the Nordic noir genre, <em>The Sommerdahl Murders<\/em> is set in a picturesque town on the Danish coastline, with each episode revolving around a murder investigation solved by Dan Sommerdahl (Peter Mygind) and his best friend, Detective Superintendent Flemming Torp (Andr\u00e9 Babikian).<\/p>\n<p>In season four, Dan Sommerdahl falls madly in love, bringing up the question of how solving murder mysteries and protecting Elsinore will go if he\u2019s blinded by love. Rumle Hammerich and Annika Appelin are set to direct the new season of <em>The Sommerdahl Murders<\/em>. The series is created by Lolita Bellstar (<em>Lulu &amp; Leon<\/em>, <em>The Legacy<\/em>), who serves as head writer alongside Lars K. Andersen (<em>The Killing<\/em>, <em>Countdown Copenhagen<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Daniel March and Klaus Zimmermann, managing partners at Dynamic Television, said: \u201cWe continue to be very proud of how strongly <em>The Sommerdahl Murders<\/em> performs for our partners globally.
