Forbidden Fruit<\/em>, a Turkish drama series distributed by Calinos Entertainment and produced by Medyapim, has continued to prove its popularity in Latin America since its debut on TVN in Panama in 2020.<\/p>\n

The series\u2019 fifth and most recent season is slated to premiere in Panama in the near future. Mexico became the second country in LatAm to present the series, which airs under the title Pecado Original<\/em> on Imagen Televisi\u00f3n.\u00a0Forbidden Fruit<\/em> has also bowed on Latina Televisi\u00f3n in Peru and Telefuturo in Paraguay.<\/p>\n

Ecuador, Puerto Rico and Chile are set to be the next countries in Latin America that will air Forbidden Fruit<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Erick Pulido, head of content and programming at Imagen Televisi\u00f3n, said: \u201cAfter a few seasons, most long-running Turkish dramas lack new life to keep the audience engaged, but Forbidden Fruit<\/em> keeps finding new ways to reinvent itself, season after season, which is why it continues to perform as well as it does.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hector Arosemena, director of content and marketing director of TVN in Panama, said: \u201cForbidden Fruit<\/em> has been the revelation in the Turkish series of the last year in Panama. It has represented an increase in a younger audience for us and also a loyalty reinforcement of older audiences. The mix of classic drama with modern elements and the charisma of its female leads make this one of the best titles in recent years for our TV channel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Luis Guillermo Camacho, head of content and programming at Latina Televisi\u00f3n, said: \u201cForbidden Fruit<\/em> came to conquer the Latina Televisi\u00f3n soap opera block with a story that narrates how wealth, business and power can completely change people’s lives.\u00a0After an intense launch campaign at the level of marketing, public relations, promotions and programmatic strategy,\u00a0Fruto Prohibido<\/em> is positioned in the afternoon as the most-watched soap opera at the national level.\u201d<\/p>\n

Duda Rodrigues, LatAm sales director at Calinos Entertainment, said: \u201cWhile 2021 was a great year for Forbidden Fruit<\/em> in Turkey and all continents where it was sold, we are certain that 2022 will be an even greater year for Forbidden Fruit<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n
