Each episode features a self-contained crime story and follows the ups and downs of those working in the Port Devine police department as they deal with everyday policing in the fictional seaside town.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Marquess and Donna Wiffen from Long Story TV (<em>The Bill<\/em>, <em>London Kills<\/em>) are behind the drama. They will once again be joined by co-creator Susanne Farrell (<em>Dirty God<\/em>). Writers on this new series include Jessica Lea (<em>EastEnders<\/em>), Tess McGowan (<em>Bump Along The Way<\/em>), Christine Murphy (<em>Emmerdale<\/em>), Hamish Wright (<em>The Secret Life Of Us<\/em>), Stuart Drennan (<em>The Dig<\/em>), Greer Ellison (<em>Butterfly Kisses<\/em>) and Karis Kelly (<em>Consumed<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Carla-Maria Lawson, head of BBC Daytime and Early Peak, said: \u201cI\u2019m thrilled that we\u2019ll be bringing back the beautiful backdrop of Northern Ireland to BBC One Daytime viewers. We\u2019ve been asked over and over again to make a series two, so know our audiences will love to go back to <em>Hope Street<\/em> and pick up where they left off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Diederick Santer, chief creative officer at BritBox International, said: \u201cWe are delighted to be bringing the second season of<em> Hope Street<\/em> to our subscribers all around the world. With gripping stories, likable characters and stunning locations, it really is a wonderful treat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eddie Doyle, head of content commissioning for BBC Northern Ireland, said: \u201c<em>Hope Street<\/em> was a real hit with our audiences and was a great platform for local talent both in front of and behind the scenes.
