{"id":16652,"date":"2022-04-08T09:00:21","date_gmt":"2022-04-08T13:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2022-04-08T10:23:14","modified_gmt":"2022-04-08T14:23:14","slug":"lydia-west-to-star-in-agc-television-espionage-thriller","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/lydia-west-to-star-in-agc-television-espionage-thriller\/","title":{"rendered":"Lydia West to Star in AGC Television Espionage Thriller"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AGC Television has cast BAFTA nominee Lydia West (<em>It\u2019s a Sin<\/em>) in its new espionage thriller <em>Gray<\/em>, a co-production with Lionsgate Television.<\/p>\n<p>West will star alongside Emmy Award winner and Oscar nominee Patricia Clarkson (<em>Sharp Objects<\/em>, <em>House of Cards<\/em>, <em>Six Feet Under<\/em>) as a CIA spy who comes out after 20 years of hiding, dodging the government agents who suspected her of being a traitor.<\/p>\n<p>AGC Studios is financing the series and will distribute in the U.S. Lionsgate International will handle distribution for the rest of the world.<\/p>\n<p>The series comes from writer\/creator John McLaughlin (<em>Black Swan<\/em>, <em>Hitchcock<\/em>) and international best-selling author David Baldacci (<em>Absolute Power<\/em>). It will be directed by Ruba Nadda (<em>Queens<\/em>; <em>Roswell, New Mexico<\/em>; <em>NCIS: Los Angeles<\/em>). Executive producers for the series as AGC\u2019s Stuart Ford and Lourdes Diaz, Clarkson, McLaughlin, Baldacci and Nadda.
